As you heal, I heal. As I heal, you heal

There is so much I’d like to share with you and yet I’ve been silent with a kind of silence that gives birth to stars.

Much has transpired, Sandy, the election, and we seem to be moving forward in a positive direction with more voices, faces, colors being seen and heard. As far as my life goes, I have been in an internal space, digesting life, memories, lessons and feeling the whirlwind of energies at work.

Here are some fragments that have been part of the tapestry of my life these last few days. I have been dancing with fear and excitement, on the edge of something new, deep, ancient. These words ring true: “Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth.” ~ Pema Chodron

I am moving closer and breathing through this intimate process. Getting intimate with my heart gets me intimate with wildlife. Intimacy seems to unravel this sacred connection. Another magical encounter! I Found an injured pigeon in my neighborhood and I’m so grateful for this lovely wildlife sanctuary that exists in Miami.

I could feel this thought, this thread of love weave through my heart and somehow open it wide, wide enough to cry for another being so seemingly foreign to me. As if the pigeon’s healing depended on mine and as if my healing depended on hers, I held the pigeon close to me on our way to the center with this thought, this feeling echoing in my heart:

As you heal, I heal
As I heal, you heal

After dropping off the pigeon and having a lovely conversation with a volunteer at the center, my mother and I went to the beach in Key Biscayne, to do ritual in contact with the elements in the natural landscape. It was a beautiful day.

Today, we are seeing nothing less than a Solar Eclipse and a New Moon in Scorpio (my moon sign) and some of you might be celebrating Diwali. Here is to transformation, renewal, and new beginnings woven with love..
